Hiko-ichi: The name of a witty person who is a character from old stories. This is a Racoon Dog, transformed by him because he loved to tease humans. (I love these stories... please tell me more!!)

 

Windmill: Looks a great top. Does the main top spin and then the windmill arms spun on the top of the shaft?

 

Fukusuke: This is the name of a doll. It appears to be a hitting top.

 

Priest or Monk and a boy: Looks most interesting. What spins?

 

Folk Art Hummer: Looks self explanatory to me.

 

Wooden Hummer:

 

? Pottery: Not sure if this is what it is made of or perhaps what it represents?

 

Vegetables: We presume that these small vegetables in a pot are representations of vegetables.

 

Dancing: I have no idea about this one!

 

Cubes: Square tops. Very popular still today.
